Maddy is special not only because she is a Class of 2021 Senior Crew member but she is also the last person I was able to photograph before the pandemic shut things down. I loved seeing her beautiful face as I prepared her images and just made me more excited to start photographing again. I had a few special things planned for both my Class of 2020 Senior Crew and my Class of 2021 Senior Crew that are now going to be reworked because of COVID-19. 2020 is the year to be flexible. Anyway, back to our Maddy . . .
Maddy wasn't able to join the first Senior Crew shoot because she had an event with the Rosemount High School band that was hosted at the University of Minnesota. We decided to meet the following weekend and as part of her shoot she had her makeup done by a makeup artist I am partnering with as an option for the Class of 2021. I wanted to see how Maddy who is a self-proclaimed minimalist in the makeup department liked working with a professional makeup artist for her session. I haven't partnered with a makeup artist before and wanted to make sure I enjoyed working with the artist as much as my clients did.
Maddy said, "Amber was super nice and made me feel very comfortable. I wouldn't consider myself a makeup girl but I still felt like myself and the pictures turned out great! #allinthistogether is one of the latest hashtags and of all of them, I like this one the most. We are in this together. This crazy pandemic that is storming through the world is causing chaos but one day things will prayerfully get back to normal so I am still booking summer and fall senior portrait sessions. If the pandemic effects any session, those seniors will be the first to get a new date on the calendar.
