I’m so excited and incredibly humbled to share that I’ve been named a finalist for Best Senior Portrait Photographer in the Best of Cities South 2025 awards!

Best Senior Photographer award badge
Truly, I am so honored to have received this Finalist Badge for the Best Senior Portrait Photographer by Cities South Magazine.

I was super surprised when I received the email letting me know I was voted as a finalist for the Best Senior Portrait Photographer. This wasn’t something I was actively campaigning for—I didn’t even know I had been nominated—but to see my name among the finalists is a reminder of how blessed I am to do what I love. My clients mean everything to me, and knowing that so many of you love your senior pictures and recommend me to others is the greatest reward of all (okay, re-reading this as I edit, does sound so cheesey but I swear it's true; I know it's a blessing to be a senior photographer as it means I get to do what I love).

What truly brings me joy as a senior photographer is giving high school parents and their about-to-be seniors an incredible gift: an experience that goes beyond just taking pictures. I’ve designed every part of my process to remove the stress, so it becomes a time of celebration and connection for both the parent and their senior.

One of my favorite moments is watching a senior who may have started the session feeling a bit apprehensive transform into someone more confident and comfortable in front of the camera. Then, when they see the images of themselves—seeing their authentic beauty, strength, and personality reflected—it’s like watching their confidence soar all over again.

When my clients hold their finished albums and flip through those pages, I want them to feel everything we captured: freedom, authenticity, being seen, heard, valued, and most of all, confident. Those emotions, preserved in a tangible way, are why I do what I do.

But don’t just take it from me—here’s what a few recent clients have shared about their senior portrait experiences:

A Minneapolis senior portrait of a girl in a black tank top and jean shorts on a quaint wooden bridge in a park in Minneapollis

"Senior pictures are an important part of the high school experience and I can’t imagine having trusted anyone else with this milestone event. She listened to my daughter, made her feel at ease, made her laugh, and made this an amazing senior portrait photography experience."

-Christine H, Senior Parent

"I wasn’t sure how willing my 18 year old son would be to take senior pictures. Let’s be honest, most 18 year old boys couldn’t care less about senior pictures.

I was nervous about him hating the experience and not getting great pictures but after we met with Tracy and finished his senior portrait session my son said “I actually had a great time.”

Tracy was fun to work with and my son loved his portrait session. She made him feel confident and it was such an easy experience. The pictures were everything I hoped they’d be and more! Tracy had great suggestions on locations and outfit inspiration. I highly recommended booking Tracy for a senior portrait session! I will be using her again next year for my daughter."

-Liz C, Senior Mom

"I would recommend Tracy to seniors because not only are her photos amazing, but she makes you feel amazing when you are in front of the camera. I know lots of people who aren’t normally comfortable in front of the camera but Tracy is your biggest cheerleader, makes you feel so confident and makes the experience so much fun.

When I saw my reveal slide show, I felt ecstatic. I even had trouble picking my favorites for my senior album because I just loved them all so much. My pictures turned out better than I could have ever hoped for and I was so happy. My parents were thrilled with the pictures and also loved them."
